Job Summary

Carter Brothers Ltd is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team in the Moncton area. This role involves assisting skilled workers, maintaining safe and organized job sites, and performing a variety of physical tasks in outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist cable linemen with tasks such as pulling lashers, lowering guy wires, and gathering materials
• Support pole setting crews by backfilling holes, tamping around poles, and preparing materials
• Assist tree workers with general duties as required
• Haul and clear brush, logs, and other debris from work sites
• Set up, distribute, and collect traffic control devices at job locations
• Help control the movement of vehicular traffic safely through and around work zones
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment as required
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and site instructions
• Perform general site preparation and cleanup duties
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and teardown
• Report any hazards, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Perform other general labour tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety practices is an asset

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
